Kristen Brennand is in her third season with LMU swimming... AT LMU
2013-14...continuing off of her freshman year success, Kristen kept climbing the ranks as one of the fastest sprint butterfly and 200 IM athletes in LMU history...she increased her rank from seventh to fifth in the 200 individual medley, dropping nearly two seconds (2:06.94)...she held her top-three status in the 100 butterfly (56.69)...earned multiple top-24 finishes at the MPSF Championships...adds to the academic success for the Lions earning MPSF All-Academic honors...acted as the team's social media correspondent... 2012-13... had an impressive first year representing the Lions in the butterfly and individual medley events... was an integral member of the school record-breaking 400 Medley Relay (3:46.07) which placed sixth at the MPSF Championships... the second-fastest woman in LMU history in the 100 butterfly (56.69) and the seventh-fastest woman in LMU history in the 200 IM (2:08.86)... individual accomplishments include placing 18th in the 100 butterfly and 24th in the 200IM at the MPSF Championships... HIGH SCHOOL
A 2012 graduate of Burlingame High School in Burlingame, Calif... a four-year varsity letterwinner under coach Chris Culp... named team captain as a junior... garnered All-League recognition and named Team MVP in all four seasons... earned All-America honors in her final two years of competition... took home PAL Swimmer of the Meet as a freshman... Kristen Michele Brennand was born on December 1, 1993 in San Francisco, Calif... parents are Sandra and Christopher Brennand... father played baseball and football at Princeton... has one brother, Chip, and one sister, Alexandra... considered University of Redlands and Whitman College, but chose LMU because it was the right fit for her academically and based on location... an English major.
