Eric Snyder comes to LMU for the 2019-20 season with over twenty years of rowing knowledge and experience having recently been an assistant coach for the women’s rowing team at Seattle Pacific University.
While at SPU, Snyder assisted the head coach in executing training plans and mentored student athletes in their academic progress. He also oversaw the training and development of Varsity and 2ndVarsity teams. In three years at SPU he helped take a program with minimal athletic participation to one that finished fourth overall at the NCAA Division II Championships this past spring. SPU’s trip to the NCAA’s was their first trip to the Championships since 2011.
"Eric is a teacher in every sense of the word. He gains great joy from helping others learn, discover, and grow,” said Director of Rowing and Women's Head Coach Karl Huhta. “Coupled with his tremendous work ethic, he will be relentless in assisting our women to push the boundaries of what they previously thought they were capable of achieving."
