Hastings played volleyball at Frisco Centennial all four years… named AVCA All-American honorable mention… Two-time All-Conference Defensive Player of the Year…three-time All-District…four-time Academic All-District, and Texas Girls Coaches Association Academic All-State…named PrepVolleyball’s Senior Aces.  
 
Personal 
Sam Hastings was born in Plano, Texas, on Jun. 12, 2002…mother is Julie Hastings, who played volleyball and tennis at Cal State University of Dominguez Hills…lists an In-N-Out cheeseburger with fries as her favorite food..favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant…favorite movie is Bridesmaids and enjoys a good romcom novel…hobbies outside of volleyball is going to the beach and stand up paddle boarding…greatest athletic thrill to date is making the 2022 NCAA volleyball tournament…chose LMU because of the people. Right away, she felt nothing but support from the coaches and team, and everyone was very genuine.
