2018 graduate of Toppvolley Norge in Halden, Norway under the tutelage of Loes Torfs … Played for the Norwegian junior national team in both indoor and beach … Elevated to the senior national team in 2016 … Played in several European and world championship events in both sports and has competed for Skjeberg VBK for head coach Lars Garder … Three-time junior national champion, two-team team MVP and was once named the team's best outside hitter on the indoor side … Selected for the junior national team at 13 years old and became a team captain … Elevated to the senior national team at 17 years old and became the youngest player to participate in a tournament in Luxembourg where her team faced Luxembourg and Albania … Competed in the North European Volleyball Zonal Association (NEVZA) tournament three times and has competed all over Europe … Member of both the junior and senior national teams and was named the best outside hitter in the Champions International Youth Tournament in Paris.
 
International Experience
Garder is a seven-year member of Norway’s beach volleyball program…played in the u18 European Championships from 2014-2016 and placed as high as 5th with partner Emilie Olimstad…participated in the 2016 u20 Championships…finished 9th in 2016 u19 World Championships with Emilie Olimstad the was the first Norweigian pair to qualify for this event on the women’s side…participated in u22 European Championships in 2017 and 2018…earned two first-place wins in Norwegian Tour events in 2021 with partner Karen E. Lund Saga and a fourth-place finish with Renate Bjerland. 
 
Personal
Kirstine Garder was born on Jul. 27, 1999, in Halden, Norway… parents Lars and Nina Garder… father Lars played indoor volleyball for Long Beach St, and won the National Championship in 1990… has two older brothers, Ole and Henrik, and a younger sister, Agnes, who played at Morningside University before transitioning into a coaching role… favorite food is seafood…hobbies outside of volleyball are horseback riding and hiking…lists the Beach Volleyball Vikings as her favorite sports team…being the first Norwegian pair on the women’s side to qualify for the u19 World Championship as her greatest athletic thrill… chose LMU because of the coaches and the girls on the team that push to be the best version of herself, as well as, the perfect grad school fit.
