Betsi Flint, a standout LMU volleyball player both indoor and on the beach, is in her fourth season as a coach with beach volleyball in 2018-19. Flint finished her playing career in 2015, reaching the AVCA National Championship match with partner Sarah Sponcil.

While competing at LMU, Flint earned a pair of AVCA All-American selections, first earning the honor in 2014 by way of a Final Four appearance with partner Litara Keil. The native of Phoenix, Ariz. the went 26-7 with Sponcil, eventually falling in the 2015 National Championship match to USC's top pair.

A current USA Beach Volleyball team member, Flint has emerged as a force on the AVP tour. The 2015 AVP Newcomer of the Year won her first tour event in her first campaign, earning the title in Cincinnati with then partner Kelley Larsen. The youngest duo to ever win an AVP event, Flint and Larsen won all five matches in claiming the title in Cincinnati. The two, a combined 46 years, 4 months, 27 days at the time of the win, upset the tournament's teams seeded second, third, fourth and sixth. Internationally, Flint and Larsen also impressed. The pair finished fifth at the 2015 Pan American Games and 2014 FIVB U23 World Championships. Playing on the 2016 NORCECA Continental Tour, Flint and Larsen earned their fourth medal of the year and second silver. The duo took first place in April of 2016, winning the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit Cayman Islands event.

In April of 2018, Flint announced that she would team with fellow LMU alumna Emily Day on the beach. The duo has proved strong, capturing gold at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Haiyang Open and winning AVP stops in Seattle and San Francisco. All told, Flint and Day won three tournaments in a span of a month from June to July in 2018.
