Mysha Sataraka

 Mysha Sataraka was named Loyola Marymount University's assistant softball coach in November 2020. 
 

"I'm so excited to welcome Mysha to our Lmu family," said coach Flowers. "Her knowledge of the game, work ethic and ability to connect with players is big time. She will not only make us better on the field, but off." 

 
Sataraka joins coach Flowers from CSUN, where she spent the last four years as the Matadors' assistant coach. Sataraka was promoted to assistant coach in 2017, after spending a year as a volunteer assistant coach. During her time at CSUN, Sataraka worked with hitters and infielders and posted a program best, with 50 home runs and 75 doubles. CSUN also finished first in the Big West under the coaching duo. 
 
Prior to coaching, Sataraka was a standout athlete at UCLA, where she led the Bruins to the College World Series in 2015 and 2016. Her senior season, Sataraka went .380 at the plate, while posting 15 home runs and 59 RBIs, earning a place on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America second team. The infielder was also named All Pac-12 First Team and NFCA All-West Region first team, totaling three Pac-12 recognitions and two NFCA All-West Region honors. 
 
During her time at UCLA, Sataraka spent the summer after her freshman year representing Team USA, under coach Flowers, and joinied Flowers again in 2016 with the USA Softball Women's Elite Team at the World Cup of Softball XI.
 
Sataraka graduated from UCLA in 2016 with a degree in political science and is from Honolulu, HI.
