Biography
Briefly… Zach Zemliak is in his senior season at LMU during the fall 2020 semester after transferring in from the University of New Orleans in 2018.
2019: Junior
Zemliak played and started 17 games for the Lions… Totaled 351:33 minutes in the cage and finished with six wins and seven losses… Zemliak recorded 122 saves and finished the season with a 12.74 goals against average… Recorded double-digit saves in five games, including a season-high 15 saves in a win at #11 UC San Diego (Sept. 25).
2018: Sophomore
Appeared in 10 games in his first season on campus… Logged over 60 minutes… Finished the season with a 1-1 record… Recorded 23 saves with a 14.45 goals against average and a .451 save percentage.
Before LMU… Zach attended Agoura High School, where he played four years of water polo and won Marmonte League Champions 2013-15, Team Defensive Player of the Year 2013, Team Hardest Worker Award 2015, and Marmonte League Most Valuable Goalkeeper 2015.
Personal... Zach Zemliak was born in Agoura Hills, California. His mom, Corinne Gies, played volleyball at LA City College. Has a brother and sister, Zander and Laura. He is a psychology studies major.
