Briefly… Rafael Salonikios finished his third season at LMU in 2023.

2023: Junior
Played 24 games for the Lions… Totaled 5 goals and 8 assists for 13 points… Recorded 10 steals and one field blocks… Scored two goals against Pacific (Nov. 12, 2023) to help clinch a share of the WCC Regular Season Championship in the final game of the season… Recorded four assists in the LMU Invite win over La Verne (Sept. 2, 2023)… Named to the WCC Academic Honorable Mention team… Earned ACWPC Excellent All-Academic Honors.
 
2022: Sophomore
Played in all 26 games for the Lions… Totaled 10 goals and 22 assists for 32 points… Recorded 11 steals and five field blocks… Scored two goals in a game against La Verne (9/10/22), #9 Pepperdine (9/17/22), and Concordia (11/18/23)… Recorded a season-best four assists against #17 Santa Clara (10/6/22)… Logged three steals against #6 Long Beach State (11/10/22)… Named to the WWPA All-Academic Team.
 
2021: Freshman
Played in all 26 games for the Lions… Totaled three goals and 10 assists for 13 points… Totaled 13 steals… Scored on opening day against #6 UC Santa Barbara (9/4/21)… Added a goal and two assists for three points against Westcliff (9/5/21)… Recorded a season-best three assists against #17 CBU (10/28/21).
 
Before LMU... Continuing the tradition of bringing in successful international players, Coach Loughran signed Rafael Joseph Salonikios out of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Salonikios is a member of the Brazilian National Team and was selected to the Brazilian Championship All-Star Team.
