Biography
Briefly… Jon Lien is entering his fourth season at LMU in 2021 after redshirting in 2018.
2020: Junior
Lien played in four games for the Lions in the shortened spring season, earning three starts… Totaled 111:51 minutes played, finishing the year with a 2-1 record… Recorded 31 saves and finished the year with a 13.73 goals against average… Added 11 steals and three assists.
2019: Sophomore
Lien played 19 games for the Lions, earning eight starts… Totaled 396:27 minutes in the cage, earning eight wins with five losses… Lien made 130 saves and finished the year with a 12.35 goals against average… Recorded double-digit saves in five games, including hitting 14 on three separate occasions.
2018: Freshman
Served a redshirt season.
Before LMU…He attended Servite High School, where he graduated with a 3.9 GPA. Lien was a two-time letterman and a captain his junior and senior seasons. In the 2017 season he made 287 saves, finishing all Trinity League, and as the 2017 Team MVP. He was awarded a spot on the 2017 All CIF 1st team.
Personal… Jon Lien was born in Berkley, California to Laura and David Lien. Father was a baseball player for USC. He has a younger brother, Tommy and a younger sister, Ashley. Lien is majoring in Political Science.
