Highlights At LMU... 2011... played all 25 games, scoring six goals with 11 assists, 14 kickouts drawn, 19 steals and eight field blocks...2010... played in 28 games on the season, scoring a career-best 22 goals on 58 attempts... scored three goals in the NCAA tournament... also added career highs with 12 kick-outs drawn and 19 steals... scored a goal in both the semifinal and final wins in the WWPAs... scored in 13 games overall... 2009... played in 26 games on the season, scoring six goals with seven assists, eight kickouts drawn, 12 steals and 16 field blocks, which was third on the team... came up big defensively against Pepperdine with three field blocks, a steal and a kickout drawn... 2008...  did not play first 19 games due to injury... finished playing 11 games with a pair of goals... also had four steals and an assist... scored fist goal against Chapman (11/8/08)... 2007... served redshirt season.

Prior to LMU... graduated from Villa Park High School in 2007 with a 4.3 GPA... a four-time scholar-athlete... a four-year letterwinner for coach John Carrich... he was a four-time letterwinner in both swimming and water polo, earning three All-CIF honors and All-America honors as a senior... he was also a two-time first-team All-Century League selection... scored 82 goals with 62 assists and 61 steals as a senior... finished with 202 goals, 137 assists and 216 steals at Villa Park...

Personal... Albert Louis Kugler Samuels was born on March 7, 1989 in Newport Beach, Calif., and is the son of Elizabeth and Martin Samuels... has a sister, who swims at LMU, and a brother... volunteered at Adopt-a-Family and Orange County Rescue Mission... earned Bachelors in Business Administration in May and is in the M.B.A. program.
