Alex Moreno enters his third year as an assistant coach with LMU men's tennis in 2020-21.
Moreno played four seasons of collegiate tennis at Pepperdine University, where he posted a singles record of 37-37 overall and 18-20 in duals, and a doubles record of 34-39 overall and 18-22 in duals.
A member of the Commissioner's Honor Roll in all four years of play, he was also a Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete and a three-time Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar selection.
Moreno graduated from the John F. Kennedy School, located in Queretaro, Mexico, in 2007. As a prep star, he was ranked 66th by the International Tennis Federation and played in the Junior U.S. Open qualifiers in 2006. The top-ranked junior in U-14, U-16 and U-18 divisions, he won 14 national championships and represented Mexico in various International competitions.
Moreno was born in Mexico City, Mexico, and earned a degree in international business from Pepperdine.
