Starboard At LMU: One of the true veterans of the program, entering his fourth year on the team...member of the men's novice four that captured the gold medal at the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships in 1997...member of the men's varsity four that placed eighth in the men's open four event at National's (IRA's) in 1999...three year varsity captain...three-time most valuable men's varsity rower.
High School: Zanetos is a 1996 graduate of Loyola High School in Los Angeles, California...a four-year member of the football and track teams...played tight end and defensive end on the football team...ran the 110 meter and the 300 meter hurdles...earned the Track team's captain award and most inspirational award...served as the school's Student Body President.
Personal: John Dexter Thomas Zanetos was born on August 30, 1978 in Los Angeles, California to Alison and Dean Zanetos. Has one sister, Christina...lists surfing as his favorite free-time activity...worked as a camp counselor last summer...a communications studies major.
