Lion S.A.A.C

Purpose:
The purpose of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to "provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations, and policies that affect the student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses." The over all mission is to "enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare, and fostering a positive image." (NCAA website)

Keara Reilly is a Senior Psychology Major, Sociology Minor from Denver, Colorado. She is on the Women's Swim Team and has served as SAAC President for two consecutive years. Her goals include implementing initiatives to raise mental health awareness, and improve the cohesiveness of the student-athlete community.

Anne Marie Fountain is a Junior Health and Human Science Major from Seattle, Washington on the Women's Rowing team. She's has been one of the women's rowing representatives for over a year and is now serving as the SAAC VP. Her goals for this year include increasing athlete involvement in SAAC, increasing athletic involvement in on-campus events, and growing the relationships in the LMU student-athlete community, and overall increasing school spirit.

Matthew Gooden is a Senior Civil Engineering Major from Los Angeles, CA, and is also a member of the men's soccer team. He is entering his first term as a SAAC e-board member, and holds the position of secretary/treasurer. He will be working with his peers to compose and distribute meeting notes and reports, keep records of monetary collections and disbursements, and help manage SAAC-run projects. His goals for this year include improving the efficiency of completing tasks, better organizing information, and improving communication between the e-board and the team representatives.

Isabel Willis is a member of the women's swim team at LMU and is a communication studies major, journalism minor. She is serving her third term as the SAAC community service chair, where she helps facilitate service and social events for LMU student athletes. Isabel is from San Jose and has been passionate about swimming since she was in middle school. Apart from being a student athlete, Isabel loves cooking, spending time with family and friends, and spending time outdoors.

Austin Clark is a member of the men's water polo team and is studying Applied Information Management Systems in his junior year at LMU. He is the executive chair for marketing and social media on SAAC, and works with his peers on planning and scheduling events for student athletes. Austin was born and raised in Orange County, grew up playing water polo and swimming on the community swim team, and takes pride in bringing energy and determination to everything he works on. When not in the pool or the classroom, Austin enjoys going to the beach, or visiting friends and family back home and in Los Angeles. When he is older, Austin hopes to be in the technology consulting industry.
