In conjunction with the LMU softball and baseball games on Sunday, April 22, the LMU Student Athlete Advisory Committee will be holding a Spirit Sale in Pride Park.
Many of LMU’s 22 sports programs will have items available for sale, including polos/golf shirts, t-shirts, jerseys, footwear, pants, shorts and pullovers. Funds raised will help support SAAC and its initiatives through the year.
The Spirit Sale, which is open to all fans, begins at 10 a.m. and will run through 11:30 a.m. SAAC will continue to hold the Spirit Sale through 3 p.m., but fans arriving after 11:30 a.m. will have to have a ticket to the baseball game to gain entry into the Spirit Sale area.
The softball game, set for 10 a.m., and the baseball game, scheduled for a 1 p.m. first pitch, will also be WCC REPRESENT games. The West Coast Conference established the Sportsmanship Task Force during the Spring of 2009. Since then, it has transformed into one of the largest SAAC-driven initiatives in the WCC. Every year, each WCC-sponsored sport participates in a REPRESENT day by promoting good sportsmanship at games and around campus by wearing their official REPRESENT shirts at designated REPRESENT events and educating its student-fan groups about positive behavior.
As part of the REPRESENT games, members of SAAC will be handing out free Cracker Jack snacks to fans in attendance.
