SEAL BEACH, Calif. - The LMU Athletics Department was proud to welcome back alumni, parents and supporters to Old Ranch Country Club on Monday, April 9th for the 25th Annual LMU Golf Classic.
"We always talk about family," said Athletic Director Dr. William H. Husak. "Honestly, I believe we practice it to a very, very high degree. It is important for our current student-athletes to know those former student-athletes and be accepted into the family of LMU Lions."
Over 115 golfers hit the greens in support of the Lions, with LMU athletics bringing in over $60,000.
Platinum sponsors Wells Fargo and University Credit Union played a large role throughout the event.
"Any time you can play for a great cause it is always a pleasure," said three-time NBA champion Byron Scott. "We try to lend your support as much as possible, play a great golf course, and meet a lot of good people."
The day culminated with a dinner and silent auction that raised crucial funds for our student athlete scholarships and will directly impact our athletes' athletic, academic and personal growth.
