Sophomore (2016-17)
Competed in five cross country races … Finished 17th with a time of 26:12.9 at the Mark Covert Classic (Sept. 3) … Crossed the finish line at 26:08.9 to finish eight overall at the Titan Invitational (Oct. 21).
Freshman (2015-16)
In cross country... competed in five meets... season best 8k was 25:42.6 at the Santa Clara Invitational (Oct. 17).
High School
Competed in cross country and track at Arroyo Grande High School... two-time second team All-PAC 7 selection in cross country... cross country Rookie of the Year as a freshman... also earned the team's Most Dedicated and Most Outstanding Senior Athlete honors... team captain as a senior cross country team finished as the league's runner up in 2014... first team all-league in the 1,600m as a junior... member of school-record setting distance medley, 4x800m and 4x1,600m relay teams...track team captain as a senior... Greg DeNike Award and Most Outstanding Senior Athlete honor... 2012 PAC 7 Champs in track and field.

Joseph David Rodgers was born Oct. 23, 1996 in Orange, Calif.... parents are David and Kimberly Rodgers... has a twin sister, Melina and an older brother, Sam... brother Sam played tennis at UC Santa Cruz from 2009-13... member of the Interact Club in high school... service work included beach clean-ups, sponsored clean water in Africa and serving Thanksgiving dinners... Business major at LMU.
