Sophomore (2016-17)
Competed in five races in cross country … Finished 11th at 25:59.0 at the WCC Preview (Sept. 17) … Placed 5th at the Titan Invitational at 25:52.8 (Oct. 21) … Claimed 55th with a time of 26:45.4 at the WCC Championships (Oct. 28).
Freshman (2015-16)
In cross country... competed in seven meets during his rookie season... best 8k time was 25:19.77 at the Cal State Fullerton Titan Invitational (Oct. 23)... was the Lions' top finisher in the meet, placing fourth overall... took 50th overall at the West Coast Conference Championships (Oct. 31)... completed the 8k course in 26:51.9... went on to compete at the NCAA West Regional (Nov. 13)... completed his first collegiate 10k in 33:47.2, good for 122nd place overall and fifth on the Lion squad...
High School
Competed in cross country and track at Thousand Oaks High School... in cross country, he was a two-time first team All-Marmonte League (junior and senior years)... cross country CIF Division II team qualifier both his junior and senior seasons... competed in the 400m, 800m, 1,600m and 3,200m on the track... best times were 51.0 in the 400m, 1:55.0 in the 800m, 4:23.0 in the 1,600m and 9:40.0 in the 3,200m... reached the CIF Division II finals qualifier in the 4x400m relay and the 800m... two-time All-Marmonte League selection.

Brian James Joerger was born Sept. 16, 1996 in Thousand Oaks, Calif.... mother is Bonnie Talcott, father is Scott Joerger, stepmother is Tiffany Joerger... older brother, Kevin, ran cross country and track at LMU from 2009-14... older sister, Melanie, ran cross country and track at LMU from 2011-14... also has a younger sister, Lexi... AIMS major at LMU.
