Briefly... Bliss Nixon is in her fourth season of collegiate tennis at Loyola Marymount...

At LMU...2008-09 went 9-9 overall in singles play with a 1-1 conference record...had a five match winning streak against Memphis, Colombia, Portland, CSU Northridge and Long Beach...played the no. 6 position...went 5-22 in doubles play with partner Jane Pringle...played the no. 1 and 2 doubles position...went 8-2 over Cal State Fullerton with Pringle as their biggest margin of victory of the season...

2007-2008... went 3-10 in singles play... competed at No. 6 singles... had back-to-back wins against San Diego[apos]s Ellie Faulkner 3-6, 7-6, 6-3 and Cal State Northridge[apos]s Whitney Paluch 6-1,7-5...

2006-07... went 8-9 in singles play in her first season at LMU... also went 11-13 in doubles play... played 11 matches at No. 6 singles and three matches at No. 5 singles... won her first two matches of her collegiate career, defeating Cheyenne Inglis of Cal State Fullerton, 5-7, 6-4, 6-0 and earning a victory over Kristen Wilson of 73rd-ranked Santa Barbara, 6-4, 7-5...

High School... She graduated from Coomera Anglican College in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia in 2005... played three sports - tennis, soccer and softball... played tennis all four years and the other two for three years... earned honors all four years in tennis... she earned the Academic Achievement Award from 2001-2004... and served as a primary school mentor...

Personal... Bliss Alicia Nixon was born in Caringbah, New South Whales, Australia... She is the daughter of Bev and Peter Nixon... has an older brother... a Theater major.
