Briefly... Jasmin Heckel begins her third season of collegiate tennis at Loyola Marymount...

At LMU...2008-09 went 11-19 in singles and 12-12 in doubles play...had an overall record of 11-9 with Elisaveta Pironkova for doubles...Heckel/Pironkova played the no.1 doubles spot with a 7-2 conference record including a big win over ranked opponents Pepperdine and San Diego...in singles play completed at the no. 2 position all season...went 4-5 in conference overall with wins over San Francisco, Gonzaga and Portland...finished out her season with 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 win over Portland[apos]s Megan Sporndi for the second time that season...
2007-08...went 11-14 in singles play... competed at the No. 3 and No. 4 singles position... Paired with Tina Razloznik in doubles, the duo went 7-6 overall, going 3-0 in tournament play... won her final two individual matches of the season against Gonzaga[apos]s Clare Dodge 6-3, 1-0 and Santa Clara[apos]s Carmen Pham 6-1, 6-0...

High School... a 2007 graduate of Ratsgymnasium Wolfsburg in Wolfsburg, Germany...

Jasmin Heckel was born on April 15, 1988 in Wolfsburg, Germany... parents are Klaus and Uta Heckel... has an older brother Stefan... chose LMU over Cal State Northridge, University of Denver and University of Maryland because of the academic and athletic possibilities... is a business administration major.
