Mary Kate Reid is in her third season with LMU swimming... also excels in the classroom as an engineering major... nominated by her teammates, Mary Kate serves as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)...

AT LMU
2013-14...earning one of the most improved awards for the team, Mary Kate added depth and competitiveness to the breaststroke events throughout the year as well as at the MPSF Championships where she placed 17th and 22nd respectively...she earned a spot on the Top-10 fastest women in both breaststroke races at 8th in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.38) and 9th in the 200 breaststroke (2:26.15)... she was also honored with MPSF All-Academic honors...

2012-13... had an impressive first season representing the Lions... her athleticism and competitive spirit consistently added depth to the breaststroke and IM events... achieved season-best times in her top competitive events, 100 breaststroke (1:07.56 at the MPSF Conference Championships), 200 breaststroke (2:27.69 at the MPSF Championships)...

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2012 graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Los Angeles, Calif... a four-year varsity letterwinner under coach Evan Maczka... named team captain as a junior and senior... garnered All-League in each of her final two years... named Most Valuable Swimmer as junior and Rookie of the Year as a freshman... also competed in basketball and cross country in high school... was named Player of the Year in basketball as a senior...

Mary Katharine Reid was born on September 2, 1994 in Redwood City, Calif... parents are Clare and William Reid... has two brothers, Matthew and Thomas, and one sister, Jacqueline... considered Lewis and Clark College, but chose LMU for its devotion to educating the whole person as well as the amazing quality of people who attend LMU... an electrical engineering major major with a computer emphasis.
