2019: Junior
Played in all 26 games… Scored 11 goals on 20 shots and added two assists for 13 points… Scored hat tricks twice, with three goals to beat both #14 Princeton (Sept. 28) and Occidental (Nov. 9)… Recorded two steals.
 
2018: Sophomore
Played in 25 games... Scored four goals on the season.
 
2017: Freshman
Played in 15 games... Scored 7 goals for a total of 33 points on the season... Scored twice on opening day against Redlands (Sept. 1)… Added five steals.
 
BEFORE LMU... graduated from De La Salle High School, where he played four years of water polo... Was a three-year scholar athlete as a varsity member his sophomore through senior seasons, and earned most improved player as a freshman... Played for 680 Water Polo (2007-2012, 2016), Academy Water Polo (2013-2015), and CC United (2016-2017)
 
PERSONAL... Matthew Knoedler was born in Walnut Creek, CA, and is the son of Kathi and Peter Knoedler... Mother, Kathi, competed in track at Menlo College, and father, Peter, played basketball at Westmont College... Has one brother, Andrew... volunteered at Habitat for Humanity...Was a varsity swimmer for three years before focusing solely on water polo...Intends to major in business entrepreneurship at LMU.
