James Raffis Thorp was born October 6, 1995 in Renton, Wash... son of Maryann and James Thorp... mother played tennis at USD and Washington... has three brothers, Bryan, Mitchell and Connor... Bryan and Mitchell both played tennis in college... volunteered his time teaching mentally-handicapped students how to play tennis during high school... chose LMU because of the great location, rising tennis program, nice faculty and smaller classes... a marketing major.
