A 2008 graduate of Saratoga High School in Saratoga, NY... rowed for all four years under coaches Chris Chase and Eric Catalano... won four state championships... captain of her team her sophomore year... all-state her junior year... part of the 2007 National Championship selection camp... won gold at 2007 Scholastic Nationals in the Junior 8+... was bronze medalist at the 2008 Scholastic Nationals in the Senior 8+...

Shannon Elyse Craig was born April 12, 1990 in Mineola, NY... daughter of Bernadette and Kevin Craig... father played football and baseball at West Point...has an older sister, Heather, who is an assistant trainer for Graham Motion which trained Animal Kingdom, the 2011 Kentucky Derby winner... chose LMU because of the location and academic and rowing programs... is a environmental science major... coached for the Learn to Row program for the Saratoga Rowing Association during the summer of 2011...
