Noa Sasover scored her first of four goals to open the game. The Bulldogs scored the next two to take their only lead of the day with 2:32 on the clock. Lior Ben David converted a powerplay goal to even the score and Anna Tarantino scored the go-ahead goal at even-strength with 1:11 remaining in the period.

Sasover opened the second quarter the same way she opened the first with another goal. The two sides traded off the scoring the first four goals of the second with Fresno State answering, then Skye Nankervis building the lead back up to two, and the Bulldogs cutting the lead back to one with 3:26 to play before halftime. Over the final 1:11 of the game, LMU scored twice to build a 7-4 lead as Sasover scored her third of the night and Sophie Kadifa beat the halftime horn with a goal of her own.
