Smiej continued his early season success with a straight sets victory in No. 1 singles. The graduate cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 victory to push the Lions closer to the overall win.Â

Alex Padro Parra continued to showcase his sturdy play with a win in No. 6 singles in straight sets as well. He won 6-3, 6-3.Â

Arthur Pantino made a wild comeback in the first set in No. 3 singles for a 7-5 win. He trailed 4-1 before storming back. He finished off his challenger in the second set to send the Lions home with a victory. Â

The Lions are 2-0 heading into a month-long road trip. They face Cal Poly on February 3 in their next match and will be back at home on February 25 to face UC Irvine.Â
