9/28/2023 8:00:00 AM

Los Angeles, September 28, 2023 – LMU Athletics and Altius Sports Partners (ASP) proudly introduce Alec Snider as LMU's first in-house ASP NIL General Manager, marking a groundbreaking step for the West Coast Conference program. Snider, who recently led sales and partnerships for the LA Clippers' G League team, brings his expertise to manage and elevate LMU's NIL operations.

In his new role, Snider will manage LMU's entire NIL program, including education, strategy, training, monitoring, and compliance. He will also work in partnership with the athletics department to create programs supporting student-athletes in building their personal brands outside of sports. Additionally, in collaboration with LMU's corporate relations team, Snider will promote NIL initiatives to the greater LA business community. Snider's recruitment to this role came through ASP, and he will receive training and guidance from the organization.

"I am excited to be part of Altius Sports Partners and assist the LMU Athletics team. It's a dynamic time for student-athletes, and I look forward to contributing to their personal and professional growth through the NIL program while collaborating closely with LMU's corporate relations team," expressed Snider.

Prior to this appointment, Snider served as the director of sales for the LA Clippers' G League affiliate, the Ontario Clippers. During his tenure, he managed sales operations, developed, and executed strategic plans, facilitated partnerships, and handled agreements, asset allocations, and deal components. Snider brings experience across various industries, including mortgage lending, healthcare, and professional sports. Notably, he held the position of group sales executive with the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, where he cultivated relationships with business leaders at all levels. He holds a degree from Miami University of Ohio.

"LMU is taking a significant leap forward by introducing Alec as our ASP NIL General Manager. Alec's experience and vision will undoubtedly enhance the opportunities available to our student-athletes in the evolving landscape of NIL," said Craig Pintens, LMU Athletic Director.

"Alec's role at LMU is a testament to our shared commitment to empowering student-athletes and advancing NIL rights. We look forward to our continued partnership with LMU and other educational institutions as we expand the GM Program," said Celine Mangan, Director of Client and Business Strategy at Altius Sports Partners.

Launched in July 2022, the ASP NIL GM Program offers centralized NIL support services for 15 schools, including both Power Five and non-Power Five institutions. The program provides customized education to navigate the changing NIL landscape. ASP personnel bring expertise in national issues such as licensing, sponsorship, agents, employment, labor, collective bargaining, Title IX, and other impending concerns. Twelve schools are currently participating in the program, with full-time trained ASP personnel stationed on campus to equip student-athletes with the necessary tools and resources to maximize opportunities. ASP's on-campus staff provides tailored education on NIL, ensuring athletes have the tools to make informed decisions about their NIL opportunities.
