Loyola Marymount University Athletics is opening a search for public address announcer positions for various sports.
The LMU Athletics Marketing team is seeking enthusiastic, game-changers to lead the fun-filled fan experience within the various facilities. Candidates should have a strong, distinctive voice and an understanding of how games operate. Excellent reading skills and the ability to follow directions and remain calm in a busy environment are important, but a candidate's ability to think on their feet and to create a fun environment for every game are the key sought-after traits.
What are we looking for?
LMU Athletics Marketing & Fan Engagement is looking to add to our selection of Public Address (PA) announcers for home sporting events.
Who are we looking for?
- Applicants must be comfortable speaking in front of large crowds
- Applicants must have familiarity with applicable sports, rules, and general operations
- A strong working knowledge of LMU Athletics' varsity sports is preferred but not required
- Prior and/or related experience is preferred but not required (i.e. in-arena host, radio broadcaster, sports broadcaster, etc.)
- Applicants must be 18+ years of age and eligible to work in the United States
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as applicable

- The LMU Athletics Marketing Staff will contact you no later than 1 week following the video submission deadline (Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11:59 pm PT)
- Serious applicants may be asked to attend an in-person tryout if selected by the LMU Athletics Marketing Staff and will be notified accordingly upon review.
Submission of this form indicates interest in becoming a LMU Athletics PA Announcer and is not a guarantee of employment. Submissions will be reviewed and given further instructions at the discretion of the LMU Athletics Marketing Staff. This is a paid position; rates will be determined based on experience and time commitment of assigned sport(s) if chosen for a Public Address position. If selected, individuals will still be required to undergo the standard university hiring process and meet all university requirements, including a background check.
