LOS ANGELES – The LMU men's tennis team had a few firsts on Thursday morning in their 7-0 victory over the Naval Academy at the LMU Tennis Center.Â

The Lions cruised to the doubles point with wins on courts two and three.Â

Arthur Pantino made the jump to No. 1 singles, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. Pantino has been a very consistent presence on court two to this point in the season.Â

Yassine Smiej slid to court two with the jump and handled his opponent, also winning in straight sets. Smiej cruised 6-3, 6-2.Â

Emin Torlic also continued his strong play in No. 3 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 straight sets victory. Â

John Bryan Otico followed suit with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over on court five as well. Â

Courts five and six produced a couple eye-popping highlights for the morning.
Toky Ranaivo dominated with a 6-0 donut in the first set before finishing off his opponent 6-1 in the second.
Alex Padro Parra got his first singles victory and collected a donut of his own on court six. The freshman won the first set 6-3 before blanking his opponent 6-0 in the second. Â

The Lions are next on the court on Saturday, March 25 against the Pepperdine Waves in Malibu, Calif. That match will begin at 10:00 a.m. (PT).Â
