LMU Athletics to Hold Auditions for Public Address Announcer Roles

LMU is opening a search for public address announcer positions for various sports.

Loyola Marymount University Athletics is opening a search for public address announcer positions for various sports. The auditions will be held in Gersten Pavilion on Wednesday, July 27th starting at 4:00 p.m. 

The team is seeking an enthusiastic, game-changer to lead the fun-filled fan experience within the various facilities. Candidates should have a strong, distinctive voice and an understanding of how games operate. Excellent reading skills and the ability to follow directions and remain calm in a busy environment are important, but a candidate's ability to think on their feet and to create a fun environment for every game are the key sought-after traits.  

Public Address Announcer Audition Details: 

What: Tryouts to be a public address announcer for the LMU Lions' home games for the sports of Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Women's Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Men's Basketball. 

When/Where: Wednesday, July 27th, starting at 4:00 p.m. in Gersten Pavilion. Candidates should enter through the main entrance of Gersten Pavilion.

*Thirty-minute time slots

  1. 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. 
  2. 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. 
  3. 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. 
  4. 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. 
  5. 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. 
  6. 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  7. 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Day-of-Event: Candidates should arrive 15 minutes prior to their secured-time slot and be ready to go. 

Sports: Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Women's Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Men's Basketball. 

Pre-Registration Required: Candidates need to pre-register by completing this form or contacting the marketing office at (310) 338-1623 during normal business hours (Mon.-Fri., 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) to reserve a time slot.  

No tapes or recordings are required, nor will they be accepted.
