Day of Giving Page
LOS ANGELES – Through tremendous support from the campus community and beyond, LMU Athletics hit the highest marks in school history during Wednesday's annual LMU Day of Giving. The Athletic Department raised over $648,000 in just 24 hours through the generous contributions of more than 1,500 donors, both record numbers.
"Thank you to those who supported us on the Annual Day of Giving," said Athletic Director
Craig Pintens. "This has become a signature fundraising event for athletics as we continually set records every year. We are very fortunate to have challenge gifts created by Trustees, Regents, parents, staff and supporters that propelled us. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of Trustee Kristi Frey '90 and J.C. Frey '90 for their $100,000 challenge gift that was unlocked once we reached 1,400 gifts. A special day like this doesn't happen without hard work from our staff, coaches, and student-athletes. We have now established a new ground floor for next year's Day of Giving."
This year, LMU Athletics saw an increase in the amount raised from $449,031 to over $648,000, from the previous Day of Giving.
LMU would like to thank every Lions fan, coach, athlete, staff member, and faculty member who gave yesterday. A special thanks to the donors who provided Athletics Challenge gifts.
