LOS ANGELES – Despite a late first quarter lead, the score line changed for the #12 LMU Men's Water Polo team. The Lions were outscored after intermission and fell to #T-9 Princeton, 12-9.

The Tigers opened the game with two goals to take the first lead.
Joseph Cavazos put the Lions on the board with a goal at the 3:17 mark.
Blazo Mitrovic tied the game at 2-2 before Cavazos pushed the Lions ahead 3-2 with a goal with eight seconds on the clock.

Neither team scored in the second quarter to keep the Lions ahead by one at halftime.

Princeton retook the lead with a pair of goals to open the third quarter, before
Bruno Salonikios tied the game at 4-all.
David Carrasco pushed the Lions ahead 5-4 with his goal at the 3:49 mark. The Tigers responded with the next three goals. Mitrovic beat the clock to score with three seconds remaining to cut it to a one goal game.

Princeton scored the first three goals of the fourth quarter.
Richie Rimlinger scored twice, and Cavazos added the final goal, but the deficit was too large.
