DAVIS, Calif. – Ahead of the Western Water Polo Championships, the WWPA has announced the All-Conference teams for the 2021 season. LMU received three All-WWPA First Team Selection and one to the All-WWPA Honorable Mention Team.
 
David Carrasco was named to the All-WWPA First Team after recording the most assists, points, and steals in the eight conference games. Carrasco totaled 22 assists, 47 points, and 18 steals in WWPA play.
 
Blazo Mitrovic also earned First Team All-WWPA honors after tying for the conference lead with 27 goals in the eight league games. Mitrovic finished second only to Carrasco in assists with 40.
 
Robert Halligan was the conference's only goalkeeper to earn First Team All-WWPA recognition. Halligan recorded 8.7 goals per game in his seven conference games played and 61 total saves to help LMU tie for second.
 
Returning as an All-WWPA selection is Alexandros Athymaritis. The two-time All-WWPA second team member and former All-Freshman team performer, Athymaritis is recognized on the All-WWPA Honorable Mention Team in 2021.
 
The Lions will open this year's WWPA Championships with a 12:30 PM game on Friday against Air Force.
