LOS ANGELES – During the annual LMU Day of Giving, LMU Athletics garnered tremendous support from the campus community and beyond that surpassed its goal with its highest donor count ever and total amount of money raised ever. The Athletic Department's contribution was the best in the event's history. A total of $936,052 for LMU as a whole was raised in just 24 hours through the generous contributions of 4,290 donors. 
 
"Thank you to everyone for making the Annual Day of Giving a success," said Athletic Director Craig Pintens. "We had overwhelming support from our fans and have reset the bar in terms of what is possible. A special thanks to Linda and Joe Bronson and Maureen and Bryan Costello for providing the challenge gifts that provided such a competitive environment that set the foundation for record-breaking numbers."
 
This year, LMU Athletics saw a 308% Increase in total raised from $57,433 to $234,173, as well as a 324% increase in number of gifts from 460 to 1952.
 
LMU would like to thank every Lions fan, coach, athlete, staff member and faculty member who gave yesterday.  With the Athletics Challenge gifts donated by Linda and Joe Bronson as well as Maureen and Bryan Costello, LMU Athletics unlocked a bonus $25,000.
