Live Stats vs. Occidental
LOS ANGELES – Both LMU and UC Davis enter the week with five conference wins and have a pivotal head-to-head matchup to determine final WWPA Tournament seedings. The #12 Lions (12-9, 5-1 WWPA) host the #11 Aggies (11-7, 5-0 WWPA). Following LMU's final conference game of the regular season, the Lions will host Occidental for a Saturday afternoon contest.
UC Davis enters the week unbeaten in the WWPA, but have the remaining top two programs still on their schedule. The Aggies open their week at Burns Aquatics Center for the 3 p.m. game against the Lions before heading down south to face #10 UC San Diego with a potential conference title on the line.
The Lions, Aggies, and Tritons could be in a situation where the teams are tangled in a three-way tie for first. If LMU defeats UC Davis, then the Aggies turnaround and top UC San Diego, the three would all finish the regular season at 6-1, and tiebreakers procedures would go into place prior to the tournament.
Thursday afternoon's game will be the third time this season that the Lions and Aggies will face another. UC Davis holds the season advantage, topping LMU by a goal in the season-opening Triton Invitational, then edging the Lions in the So Cal Invitational by just two goals.
The week will conclude with a non-conference home game against Occidental College, who ranks in the top-10 of the Division III National Poll. The Tigers (9-14, 1-9 SCIAC) will be playing in their second game of the day on Saturday, after facing Claremont-Mudd-Scripps earlier that morning.
Both games are free to attend and will have live stats provided at the links above.
