WWPA Championship Central

LOS ANGELES – The conference tournament kicks off this week as the eight Western Water Polo Association teams compete for the opportunity to extend their season into the NCAA Tournament. LMU (13-11, 5-2 WWPA) enters the weekend as the three-seed and will open against sixth-seeded Santa Clara Friday at 4:30 p.m.
 
The Lions defeated the Broncos earlier this season at Burns Aquatics Center, a 15-9 conference win in October. Santa Clara enters the tournament hot, winning three-straight and six of their last seven.
 
LMU has not left their home pool in four November games. Their last road contest was Halloween night at the same sight of the WWPA Championships, defeating then-#19 Cal Baptist 16-15 at Lancer Aquatics Center.
 
All general admission single-day cost $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for children ages 3-17. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online at cbulancers.com/tickets. Both cash and credit cards will be accepted for sale of tickets.
