WWPA Action Continues as Men’s Water Polo Set for Two Games

Live Stats vs. Santa Clara | Live Stats vs. Air Force

LOS ANGELES – The 11th-ranked LMU men's water polo team has two conference games on the schedule this week, one at home and one on the road. The Lions (6-8, 1-1 WWPA) host Santa Clara (8-6, 0-1 WWPA) on Thursday for a 3 p.m. game at Burns Aquatics Center before traveling to Air Force (9-11, 0-1 WWPA) to play Saturday morning.

The Broncos have lost two straight games, including an 11-10 thriller to Concordia in their conference opener. The Lions will take a break from conference games after the weekend to travel up to Santa Clara for the annual Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament on Oct. 25-26.

After playing at Burns earlier this season for the SoCal Invitational, Air Force will be hosting LMU for a 10:30 a.m. mountain (9:30 a.m. PST) start. The Falcons are also coming off a one-goal loss in their WWPA opener, falling to UC Davis last Saturday. The two teams did not meet earlier in the season.
