LOS ANGELES – For the second time this season, LMU men's water polo has an opportunity to upend a higher seeded UC San Diego program. After beating the then-#11 Tritons on Sept. 25, the now-#11 Lions (6-7, 1-0 WWPA) and #9 UCSD (15-5, 3-0 WWPA) will battle in a designated conference game this Saturday at Burns Aquatics Center.
 
The first head-to-head was a back and forth game in La Jolla, which the Lions benefited from a quick start and pulled off the victory that started a week that saw LMU rise in the polls into the top 10.
 
Saturday's game will count in the Western Water Polo Association standings, with both teams entering the week with an unblemished record in conference play.
 
Following the game, the annual Testman Scholarship Presentation will be held on the pool deck, along with the LWPA Alumni event for all past men's and women's players.
