LOS ANGELES – Thursday and Sunday mark the final two opportunities to see the Loyola Marymount men's water polo team in action from Burns Aquatic Center this season. The Lions (8-11, 2-1 WWPA) have three games scheduled this week, with two at home. Both home games are against ranked teams, as Cal Baptist and Princeton sit back-to-back in the Week 8 CWPA Poll, at 12th and 13th, respectively.
LMU opens the week hosting Cal Baptist (17-9, 2-1) on Thursday at 3 p.m. in the return to conference play. The Lancers got the best of the Lions in overtime earlier this season, winning 13-12 in overtime in the opening-weekend Triton Invitational. CBU enters the week with a six-game win streak and winners of 11 of their last 12.
The Lions then hit the road for a Saturday WWPA matchup at Concordia (5-14, 1-3) in Irvine at noon. The Eagles also host Santa Clara for a conference game on Thursday.
Princeton (14-6, 4-4 NWPC) travels across the country for a non-conference game in LMU's final home match of the year. The Tigers have won four straight after sweeping through the Crimson Invitational and winning a conference game at Iona.
Sunday's 10 a.m. game will serve as Senior Day for LMU's senior class competing in their final season of collegiate water polo. In additional to the postgame recognitions, rally towels will be handed out to the first 100 fans prior to the game at the marketing table.
Admission to all LMU water polo home games are free admission for fans. Each game will feature live stats through theFOSH and home games will be streamed live on YouTube
