LOS ANGELES – The MPSF Invitational is headed to Palo Alto as the Lions prepare for a busy weekend against tough competition. Loyola Marymount men's water polo opens the Nor Cal Tournament with a match against fourth-ranked California in a 4:10 pm Friday game at Belardi Pool.
The Lions will then play twice on Saturday with times depending on the outcome of Friday's matches. Action concludes Sunday with one match. Live streaming video of Sunday's first through seventh-places matches will be available through the Stanford website.
Competing this year, in order of seeding, are #1 USC, #2 UCLA, #3 Stanford, #4 California, #5 UC Santa Barbara, #6 Pacific, #7 UC San Diego, #8 Long Beach State, #9 UC Davis, #10 Pepperdine, #11 UC Irvine, #12 Pomona-Pitzer, #13 Loyola Marymount, #14 San Jose State, #15 Santa Clara, and #16 Air Force.
Games are played at two sites, Belardi Pool and Avery Pool, beginning Friday at 1:30 p.m. LMU's Friday game is the third of the day from Belardi Pool.
Saturday action will pick up at 8:00 a.m., and run through the final game at 5:20 p.m., with each team playing twice to determine Championship seeding.
Sunday's games will be played at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. from the two sites to determine first through 16
thplaces.
