Oct. 17, 2017

LINKS: #LIONSTRONG | Give to LMU Athletics | LMU on Facebook | LMU on Twitter

Saturday, October 21 will be a busy day on the LMU campus, as LMU will host a swim meet against Seattle and Grand Canyon beginning at 9:30 a.m., will welcome #8 BYU to Gersten Pavilion for a Noon volleyball match, and the campus will host the 11th-annual Think Pink 5k Run/Walk beginning in Lot C in front of the Burns Recreation Center from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The 5k Run/Walk, which raises funds to support the American Cancer Society: Making Strides against Breast Cancer, will force the roads leading on and off campus to be closed. As a result, fans intending to attend the LMU athletic events that morning are encouraged to arrive prior to roads closing at approximately 8:30 a.m., or after the roads are opened once again at approximately 11:30 a.m.

Fans choosing to attend the morning swim meet on Saturday will have to enter the campus via the main entrance at Lincoln and LMU Drive. Those arriving before 8:30 a.m. should have access to park in Hannon Parking Lot across the street from Gersten Pavilion. Fans arriving after 8:30 a.m. will likely be diverted to park in another location further from the venue.

Fans traveling to campus for the Noon volleyball match against BYU will also need to use the Lincoln entrance, and are encouraged to arrive no earlier than 11:30 a.m. Those fans arriving at or after 11:30 a.m. should have access to park in Hannon Parking Lot across the street from Gersten Pavilion. Any fans arriving prior to 11:30 a.m. can expect to be diverted to park in another location further from the venue.

Saturday's volleyball match against the Cougars will also help raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer, as it will serve as LMU's annual DiG PiNK match. Those wishing to donate to the cause can do so by visiting lmulions.com/digpink.

LMU faithful can also catch the LMU men's soccer team in action on Saturday night, as the Lions host Portland at 7 p.m. from Sullivan Field.
