LOS ANGELES - It is Alumni BBQ Weekend on campus, and as usual, LMU athletics will be part of the action. This week's What to Watch For featured match-up, scheduled for Tuesday, is a nationally-televised match between two of the best in college volleyball. Here is the #LIONSTRONG What To Watch For (#W2W4) for Sept. 23-27.

#W2W4: NATIONAL SHOWDOWN

This week's top match-up features LMU women's volleyball taking on seventh-ranked San Diego in a West Coast Conference showdown on national television. The mid-week match-up is on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 pm and can be seen live on ESPNU and online through ESPN3. Tuesday, Sept. 27

GAME IS FREE • Live on ESPNU • Pregame Celebration at 6 pm

Action for the showdown begins at 6 pm with the Pregame Celebration sponsored by The Loft. The event will be held on the LMU Tennis Courts and will feature free beers (limit two per person) for those over 21 and free non-alcoholic beverages for those under 21. Following the Pregame, come in and cheer on the Lions and the first 250 in the building will get a free CHIK-FIL-A dinner between sets two and three. Also look for special #LIONSTRONG giveaways.

The Lions will begin the weekend with a Wells Fargo PCH Cup showdown with Pepperdine to start West Coast Conference play. The Lions travel to Malibu on Saturday, Sept. 24 to take on the Waves at 1 pm. Watch the game live on TheW.tv or follow on .

#W2W4: FRIDAY NIGHT UNDER THE LIGHTS

This week's Friday Night Under the Lights will see LMU women's soccer put their 14-game unbeaten streak on the line when they welcome Nebraska-Omaha to Sullivan Field. It is a huge game under the lights for the Lions.

#W2W4: ALUMNI IN THE WATER

LMU men's water polo returns home for their conference opener, welcoming Western Water Polo Association foe Fresno Pacific to the Burns Aquatics Center on Saturday, Sept. 24 at noon. Before the game, women's water polo will hold its annual alumni match starting at 9 am, followed by the men's alumni match at 3 pm. Contact the water polo coaches for more information on the Alumni games.

#W2W4: ALUMNI BBQ GAME

Women's soccer will complete their home stand with the annual Alumni BBQ game. The Lions will take on UC Santa Barbara in a key non-conference showdown on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 1 pm. The Lions, who enter the week at 4-2-2, will take on the 8-1 Gauchos as they look to continue their unbeaten streak at Sullivan Field. And it is FREE to all alumni attending the Alumni BBQ.
