LOS ANGELES -- The third quarter once again hurt the eighth-ranked LMU men's water polo team, as No. 1 UCLA scored seven goals in the third frame to earn a 17-4 win at the Burns Aquatics Center on Saturday afternoon.

UCLA (13-0) held on to a 3-2 lead after one but pulled away from the Lions (5-6) in the middle quarters, outscoring LMU 11-2 in the second and third quarters combined. Ten different Bruins scored, while LMU's Emanuel Di Stasio scored two of LMU's four goals.

This was the Lions' 10th straight game against a top-20 opponent and second time they have face the nation's number one. They head to the Troyer Invitational hosted by Pomona-Pitzer on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4-5.
