LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The fifth-ranked LMU men's water polo program ran their winning streak against Western Water Polo Association foes to 25 games thanks to a 11-3 win over Claremont at the Burns Recreation and Aquatics Center on Thursday afternoon. The Lions improve to 13-4 overall and 8-0 in the WWPA.
The Lions have not lost a conference match-up since Oct. 26, 2007. They went 11-0 in 2008 and won their last six in 2007 to win back-to-back titles.
Junior Tibor Forai had his best game of the season with five goals, four coming in a six-goal second period that put the game away. The Lions led 2-0 after the first period, but broke it open with five straight goals in the second quarter to lead 8-1 at the half.
Derek Milligan added three goals for the Lions will not play again for a week, hosting No. 4 UCLA on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m.
