LOS ANGELES – Two of the West Coast Conference's biggest season accomplishments went to a pair of Lions following the WCC men's golf season. LMU's Riley Lewis has been named Golfer of the Year and teammate Mason Snyder has been named WCC Freshman of the Year Mason Snyder. Both have been named to the All-WCC First Team as well.
 
Lewis is the WCC's top-ranked golfer, currently ranked No. 59 on Clippd with two wins and five top 3 finishes on the year. For the third consecutive season, Lewis found himself at the top of the field in a three-way tie at the WCC Championship after 54 holes. Lewis became the first golfer in Conference history with three consecutive first-place or tied-for-first-place finishes at the WCC Championships. Lewis is now a three-time All-WCC First Team performer.
 
Snyder shot 6-under 66 in the final round of stroke play at the WCC Championship last weekend, helping the Lions advance to the match play semifinals. He turned in a three-round score of 4-over 220 to finish tied in 27th place and land him on the all-conference team. 
 
Lewis earned the Freshman of the Year recognition in 2021 and Head Coach Jason D'Amore was named WCC Freshman of the Year in 2005. Snyder is the fifth Lion to earn the recognition.
